Who we are.
Like many other private anesthesiology practices, we utilized big-box billing companies for years. It was a frustrating experience, littered with poor performance, inconsistency in payments, absolutely no proactivity, no knowledge of healthcare regulations and their affect on our business—not to mention a huge deficit of meaningful information and data, leaving us unable to drive the decision making at all. It was a failed model, and we knew we could do better.
CABS was founded in 2008 as an answer to our own problem. It was a solution built specifically for Providence Anesthesiology Associates, our independent practice in Charlotte, NC, comprised of 65 anesthesiologists. We were our own guinea pig, testing strategies, making improvements and tracking results along the way. After a few short years we realized that our billing solution was working because it was designed by anesthesiologists. After all, we understand the intricacies of our specialty, the industry trends and changing healthcare regulations that affect our bottom line so drastically. We knew CABS could help other practices like ours. So in 2012 we began marketing to other groups, and today we serve a long list of practices throughout the southeast, extending through the Midwest and into California.
CABS seeks to provide broad and diverse solutions to every challenge faced by the modern independent anesthesiology practice, from revenue cycle optimization to hospital and payer contracting to navigating the current complex regulatory environment—even conquering clinical challenges. We truly believe in the private practice model, and we’re proud to do our part to support the independence of as many like-minded groups as possible.
